KOR Energy has commissioned rooftop solar PV at three different locations in Haryana, comprising 66 kW at R.P Cold Storages Pvt Ltd, Sonipat; 77 kW at Lawrance Agro Storage Ltd, Sonipat, and 90 kW at Maan Brothers Cold Storage, Kurukshetra.

The installer used Tier 1 Vikram Solar modules and ABB inverters in these projects.

Upon completion, Sushil Sarawgi, director, KOR Energy India, told pv magazine: “These are all our endeavor to promote rooftop solar at Cold Chains, because we are heavy energy consumers and have ample rooftop available that can be used for solar installations.”

These projects will receive subsidy benefits from the government under the National Horticulture Mission, which is a promotion of green energy in the Cold Chain Scheme.

The company has further procured four other industrial rooftop projects, with a cumulative capacity of 2.8 MW, in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Two 1,200 kW projects at APL Apollo Tubes Ltd, Secunderabad, and APL Pipes Ltd, Dadri, and two 200 kW at Hindustan Mint and Agro Pvt Ltd, Chandausi, and KV Aromatics Pvt Ltd, Greater Noida.

All the above projects are expected to be commissioned between November 2017 and January 2018. The projects will use REC’s Twinpeak Series Poly Modules of 350 Wp. These premium modules will be used for first time in any Indian Project, said Sarawgi.

Once again, ABB inverters will be used, and the system will also have an online performance monitoring system for smooth operations and maintenance.
