Havells, one of India’s largest cable providers, has told pv magazine it will partner with SolarEdge to provide inverter solutions in the Indian solar market.
“Solar Edge will surely benefit from Havells expansion, popularity and quality image, having 8000 dealers and 500 service centers across India,” said Sameer Darbari, deputy general manager of solar and head of off-grid for Havells. He added that the inverter solution that the two companies will offer in the Indian market will also include a power optimizer.
The company said its solar components and solutions will comply with the safety norms recently issued by the Indian government for off-grid and grid-tied solar systems. In mid-September, the authorities released a document on PV systems that limited DC system voltages to 60 V.
