As the final quarter of the fiscal year draws closer, Sunsure Energy Pvt Ltd is all geared up to close an exciting year at an all-time high revenue of INR 2 billion ($30.8 million) from its Solar EPC business. This is ten times leap in revenues from FY 2017 for the New Delhi based company.
Sunsure has credited two factors for its growth. First, obsessive focus on delivering high-quality services, irrespective of the sector, either private or government. Second, to its customers who opted Sunsure repeatedly.
In fiscal 2018 in India, Sunsure has reached five new states – Karnataka, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Kerala. The developer has commissioned 4.5 MW as an independent power producer for BESCOM and 15 MW as turnkey EPC in Karnataka. A 400 kW rooftop plant in Dahej for Merino Industries Ltd marked Sunsure’s entry to Gujarat. The developer won a public tender to secure 300 kW at the Cochin Shipyard and later followed two consecutive bid wins for 200 kW and 450 kW at the Mazagaon Dock in Mumbai.
In Rajasthan, Sunsure has secured contracts from some of the most prominent industrial houses in the state – Hindware (600 kW) and Dholpur Fresh (200 kW). The company also won the tender to set up a 135 kW solar-plus-storage rooftop plant at the distinguished Barefoot College in Rajasthan, a first of this size in Rajasthan.
A significant portion of the growth comes from existing strongholds – Haryana, New Delhi and Uttar Pradesh. In Haryana, Sunsure is setting up a first of its kind 5.5 MW captive open access solar plant with single-axis trackers for Merino Panel Products Ltd and recently signed a 1000 kW rooftop for one of Coca Cola’s largest Indian bottlers. In New Delhi, a 1000 kW rooftop plant at ICAR – Indian Agricultural Research Institute on Pusa Road. Also, the company has signed with NK MINDA Group for 1000 kW+ rooftop solar installation over 10 factories across India.
