KREDL has issued a short-term retender for remaining 650 MW (50 MW x 24 blocks) grid-connected solar PV projects to be installed in the Pavagada Solar Park, located in Tumkur District of Karnataka.

The state renewable authority has mentioned that it had only received bids for 550 MW out of the initial capacity of 1.2 GW, tendered in February beginning. KREDL has already issued the Letter of Award (LOAs) to the successful bidders.

All the technical details of the project will remain the same, as was previously mentioned, setting up on “Build-Own-Operate” (BOO) basis. The generated electricity will be sold to the Electricity Supply Companies (ESCOMs) of Karnataka for a period of 25 years.

Developers may bid for a minimum of 50 MW, and a maximum of 650 MW. Bid submissions are due on April 21, 2018. The pre-bid meeting has been scheduled for April 23.
