Rajasthan Electronics & Instruments Limited (REIL), Jaipur, has invited bids to supply 4.3 W and 4.5 W multicrystalline silicon solar cells. The quantities to be supplied are 600,000 and 1,200,000, respectively.

The 4.3 W and 4.5 W solar cells must feature four or five busbars. For 4.3 W cells, the PV module output must be greater than 252 W for arrays of 60 cells and greater than 302 W for 72 cells, in line with TUV/UL standards. Using 4.5 W solar cells, the PV module output must be greater than 260 W for 60 cells and greater than 310 W for 72 cells.

The deadline for submissions is June 4. The bids will open on June 6.

Terms and conditions

Only manufacturers are eligible to participate in the tender. Foreign manufacturers can submit offers through their authorised representatives, subject to the offers clearly mentioning the make of the solar cells, backed by authorisation letters from the manufacturers. Offers will not be considered if they include quotes from more than one manufacturer.

Bidders are required to quote fixed prices for the entire contract period of one year, with 20% of the tender earmarked for micro and small enterprise (MSE) suppliers. Indigenous manufacturers will be given preference, provided their products meet quality standards and specifications.
