Rajasthan Electronics & Instruments tenders 2.87W chip solar cells

Share

Having tendered 4.3W and 4.5W multicrystalline silicon solar cells, Rajasthan Electronics & Instruments Limited (REIL), Jaipur has now invited bids to supply 2.87W chip solar cells.

The cells should be 156×156 mm2 in size. These must feature 3, 4 or 5 busbars, and must be crystalline silicon type. Cells with silicon nitride anti-reflection coating are preferred.

The PV module output must be greater than 103 watts for an array of 36 cells using two-third part of the cell.

The deadline for bid submission is May 24, and bids will open on May 25. First-time suppliers are required to submit a sample of 100 solar cells, free of cost, for evaluation and acceptance by REIL.

Terms and conditions

Only manufacturers are eligible to participate in the tender. Foreign manufacturers can submit offers through their authorised representatives, subject to the offers clearly mentioning the make of the solar cells, backed by authorisation letters from the manufacturers. Offers will not be considered if they include quotes from more than one manufacturer.

Bidders are required to quote fixed prices for the entire contract period of one year, with 20% of the tender earmarked for micro and small enterprise (MSE) suppliers. Indigenous manufacturers will be given preference, provided their products meet quality standards and specifications.
