Another bidding extension for IGL’s solar-plus-battery tender

Compressed natural gas distributor Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) has amended for the fourth time a tender to supply, install, test and commission a cumulative 76 kWp of 1 kWp solar systems with battery storage. The latest change to the procurement exercise extended the bid submission deadline further, to July 1. The last deadline had been set for Thursday.

Bids have been invited for the 1 kWp solar systems – 76 in total, each consisting of four 260 W panels plus two 150 Ah lithium-ion batteries and a 1 kVA 24 V inverter to supply 12 hours of backup power.

To be eligible, bidders should have supplied and installed at least Rs54.94 lakh of solar systems in the five years to the date of bid submission. The PV modules must be Indian made and feature crystalline silicon solar cells. Modules must also be IEC 61215 Edition II or BIS 14286 certified by an accredited National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration or International Electrotechnical Commission Quality Assessment System for Electronic Components laboratory.

The power output of the modules under standard test conditions should be a minimum 1 Wp, with efficiency of at least 12%.

All bids must be accompanied by a security amount of Rs220,000.
