The purpose of this EoI is to invite firms or EPC contractors who have sufficient experience and capability in design, testing, integration, installation and commissioning of battery energy storage systems (BESS), on turnkey basis, using various battery technologies and chemistries.
To be eligible, the firm/EPC contractor should be an existing BESS manufacturer, supplier or integrator. It should have executed minimum 250 kWh capacity using battery technology/chemistry with minimum 2500 cycles and integrated it with 11 KV or above grid network.
Further, it should have cumulative minimum turnover of Rs 2.5 crore for the last three financial years.
The participants would be scrutinized against the requisite documents submitted and, if successful, issued an empanelment letter. For any future BESS tenders in India, Central Electronics Limited (CEL) shall float the tender for pre-bid tie-up amongst the empanelled firms/EPC contractors. The empanelled firms shall provide their best quotation to CEL for participation in the said tender. CEL would decide the successful bidder amongst the various best quotations received and shall sign the pre-bid tie-up agreement with the successful bidder. CEL shall use it to quote in the BESS tender.
