BHEL tenders 69 MW solar project work for SCCL in Telangana

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Bangalore is setting up two solar power plants for state-owned coal mining company Singareni Collieries Company Limited—39 MW (AC) at Yellandu Village and 30 MW (AC) at Manuguru—in Bhadadri Kothagudem district of Telangana.

The Yellandu solar plant will comprise 7 inverter rooms, each associated with 5 MW PV array, and one main control room with associated 5 MW PV array.

The Manuguru solar plant will have 5 inverter rooms, each associated with 5 MW PV array, and one main control room with associated 5 MW PV array.

At both the plants, the output of inverter rooms will be combined at the control room at 33 KV level and stepped up to 132 KV.

The selected bidder will be responsible for supply, installation, testing and commissioning of certain identified activities of the solar power plant.

Among a host of items, BHEL will also supply 330 Wp solar modules (Type L24270) and power-conditioning units for both the projects. While Yellandu solar plant will use approximately 132,000 numbers of modules, the estimated quantities of solar modules for the Manuguru plant are 100,800.
