Uttarakhand invites EoI for off-grid solar plus battery projects

Share

Uttarakhand Renewable Energy Development Agency (UREDA) intends to empanel engineering, procurement and construction contractors to set up off-grid solar power plants (with battery bank) at various locations in the State. The plants—ranging from 1 KWp to 25 KWp capacities—are to be installed in accordance with the latest guidelines issued by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.

To be eligible, the firm should have installed cumulative minimum of 300 KWp off-grid solar capacity at government buildings in the last two years.

The selected firms will be empanelled initially for a period of one year, which may further be extended based on the performance of the firms and mutual consent between UREDA and interested empanelled firms.

Scope of work

The selected firms shall be responsible for design, manufacture, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of the plants. They shall also provide warranty and maintenance for 5 years.

The project installation may differ depending on the site, which can be a flat rooftop, inclined rooftop, open flat land, open hilly and inclined land, etc.

Further, as the plants may be situated in plain areas as well as remote hilly areas without roads in the State, the various requirements for installation of plants may vary according to the location of the plant. Therefore bidders are advised to consider the various factors related to transportation and mounting structures for solar modules.

Proposals can be submitted till October 4, along with an amount of Rs 10 lakh as bank guarantee.
