State-owned power generator NTPC has invited bids to set up 1 GW of grid connected solar projects on “develop-build-demonstrate-transfer” basis anywhere in India.
The projects—which can be ground mounted or floating—will be developed under the Open category, where modules can be procured from either domestic manufacturers or imported.
Single developers can compete for 50-300 MW of the available capacity in 10 MW multiples. Bids must be accompanied with bank guarantee of Rs2 crore for 50 MW, Rs5crore for 60-110 MW, Rs10 crore for 120-220 MW, and Rs 20 crore for 230-300 MW.
To be eligible, the bidder should have average annual turnover of not less than Rs 210 crore during the last three financial years.
The scope of work includes design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, storage, installation and commissioning of the capacity. The selected developers shall also provide operation and maintenance of the complete solar plant including switchyard and power evacuation system till ISTS substation along with electrical equipment for a period of three years.
Technical requirements include provision of module mounting arrangement with tracking for ground mounted systems and with floaters for floating solar system, inverter with maximum power point tracking technology, module cleaning system and SCADA system for control and monitoring.
