State-owned Central Electronics Limited has invited bids for development of an aggregate 1.6 MWp of grid-connected rooftop solar capacity in various government buildings of Tamil Nadu.
The projects are to be developed on turnkey basis, in sizes ranging from 10 KWp to 50 KWp with PV modules supplied by CEL.
The successful developers will be responsible for survey, design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing and commissioning. They shall also provide comprehensive on-site maintenance for a period of 25 years.
To be eligible, the bidder must have carried out similar EPC work for cumulative 500 KWp of solar power plants directly or indirectly in the last three years, out of which at least two power plants should be minimum 50 KWp in capacity. Further, the bidder must have cumulative turnover of Rs 4 crore in the last three financial years.
While CEL will supply min. 300 Wp of modules for the projects, the developers’ scope includes grid-interactive power conditioning unit with remote monitoring system, mounting structures, junction boxes, earthing and lightening protections, IR/UV protected PVC cables, pipes and accessories.
EPC completion period is 90 days from the issue of notice to proceed or handing over of the site.
