Rajasthan Electronics India Ltd (REIL) has invited bids from Indian manufacturers to supply 4.5W (4-/5-busbar), 4.6W (5-busbar) and 4.67W (5-busbar) multicrystalline silicon solar cells.
The solar cells should be 156×156 ± 1.0mm or 156.75×156.75 ± 1.0 mm in size, with cell thickness of 200±20 microns. Further, the front busbar must be at least 0.8 mm wide and back busbar 1.0 mm. Cells with plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition of silicon nitride as anti-reflection coating are preferred.
To be eligible, the manufacturer should have crystalline silicon solar cell production capacity of a minimum 50 MW per annum. Further, it should have supplied a cumulative 4.0 MW of minimum 4.50 W crystalline silicon solar cells (in sizes of 156.75×156.75 mm2) to Indian customers during the period April 2018 to March 2019.
Contract period is up to March 2020. In case, it is not possible the manufacturers may indicate the applicable contract period.
Quantities are to be supplied on monthly basis as mutually agreed between REIL and the vendor.
In case of delayed delivery, the manufacturer shall have to pay liquidated damages amounting to 0.5% of the value of the items per week, subject to a maximum 5% of the unit delivered price of each unit so delayed.
