State-run hydropower producer NHPC has invited domestic bids for setting up 40 MW solar project capacity in Ganjam district of Odisha. The project shall be awarded through tariff-based competitive bidding followed by reverse auction.
The selected bidder is responsible for engineering, procurement and construction of the solar plant, along with associated 220 KV transmission line connectivity. It shall also provide comprehensive operation and maintenance for ten years.
Completion period is 12 months from the award of contract.
To be eligible, the bidder should have successfully completed EPC work, as a contractor or developer, for one solar power project of at least 32 MW capacity, or two solar power projects of at least 20 MW capacity each or three solar power projects of at least 16 MW capacity each during the last five years. Further, it should have provided operation and maintenance support for at least one project of minimum 16 MW for at least one year during the preceding five years.
The bidder should have average annual turnover of minimum Rs 328 crore in the preceding three years, and a positive net worth not less than the amount of paidup equity share capital in three out of the preceding five years.
