Uttarakhand’s Pant University to get a 2.2 MW rooftop solar plant

Central Electronics Ltd—the implementation agency for grid-connected rooftop solar system on government buildings—has invited bids to install a 2285 kWp grid-connected rooftop solar system at G.B. Pant University Of Agriculture And Technology in District Udham Singh Nagar of Uttarakhand.

The plant is to be set up in RESCO mode (capital expenditures covered by the installer), using modules manufactured in India only. 

Bidders have to apply for full capacity, and bids with part quantity would be rejected. 

The scope of work for the successful bidder includes design, engineering, manufacture, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of the plant. It shall also provide operation and maintenance support for 25 years.

The generated solar power shall be utilized for self-consumption under solar net metering policy of Uttarakhand. 

Completion period is six months from the award of contract.

Bidding closes on September 9.
