Electrical manufacturer Best Power Equipments has announced an intent to focus on solar products and said it is working on a lithium battery manufacturing joint venture.

The Noida company revealed its change in focus as it launched its KSG-DM series of grid-tied solar rooftop inverters.

The Best Power Equipments (BPE) inverters have a 1-60 kW power rating and offer a reported efficiency of up to 98%.

The company said it would focus on solar panels and lithium battery storage as part of a new strategy.

Launching the inverter range, Best Power Equipments MD Amitansu Satpathy said the change in focus coincided with the government’s determination to make India more self-reliant: “In 2020, India is moving towards Atmanirbhar Bharat, where solar power has been given prominence by prime minister Narendra Modi himself. In line with this, BPE is planning to focus on solar inverters and products in the next 3-4 years and aim[s] to gain a decent market share.”

Best Power Equipments will produce its inverters at the Noida facility which manufactures systems for data centers and uninterrupted power supply.
