The Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited (GSECL) based at Vadodara has invited bids from EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) services contractors to construct an aggregate 159 MW of grid-connected solar capacity in the state of Gujarat.
The tendered capacity includes a cumulative 140 MW (AC) at government waste land around various substations of Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation Limited (GETCO). Another 15 MW (AC) for Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals Limited and 4 MW for Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers & Chemicals is tendered for construction at Charanka Solar Park in Patan district of Gujarat.
The plants to be set up at GETCO substations shall come up in sizes of 10 to 40 MW. The scope of work for the successful bidder includes design, construction, and commissioning of the plant, along with operation and maintenance for ten years.
