Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Limited (Mahagenco) has invited bids to set up an aggregate 250 MW of grid-connected solar capacity in Maharashtra.

The capacity—to be set up on a build-own-operate basis—shall come up at Dondaicha Solar Park in the district Dhule.

Mahagenco shall enter into a power purchase agreement (PPA) with the successful bidder for 25 years, with a maximum tariff payable to the project developer fixed at INR 2.83/kWh for the entire duration.

Power procured from the project has been provisioned to be sold to the State Discom Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co. Limited (MSEDCL).

The capacity is divided into three blocks of 50 MW, 75 MW, and 125 MW. Developers must quote a single tariff for all the projects applied for, which shall be applicable for all 25 years.

Bidding closes on February 15.
