NHPC tenders 100 MW solar EPC work in Uttar Pradesh

State-owned hydropower producer NHPC Ltd has invited domestic bids for engineering, procurement and construction of a 100 MW grid-connected solar power plant, along with associated power evacuation equipment, in Uttar Pradesh.

NHPC has tendered the capacity on behalf of Bundelkhand Saur Urja Limited (a joint venture of NHPC Ltd and Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency).

The plant shall be located in Sherwa, Chak Lathiya, and Jafarkhani villages under Chunar tehsil of the Mirzapur district.

The successful bidder shall also provide comprehensive operation and maintenance support for five years.

The project completion period is 12 months from the award of the contract.

Eligibility

The bidder should have installed, as an EPC contractor or developer, a cumulative grid-connected solar capacity of a minimum 40 MW, out of which at least one plant should have been of a minimum 10 MW. The reference plant must have been in successful operation for at least six months before the last date of bid submission.

Or, the bidder should have executed, either as a developer or EPC contractor, an industrial project of a minimum INR 2 billion value. The project should be in successful operation for at least one year before the last date of bid submission. Besides, the bidder should have executed at least one electrical sub-station of 33kV or above voltage level, either as a developer or EPC contractor. The substation should also be in successful operation for at least one year.
