State-owned coal miner Coal India Limited has tendered the engineering, procurement and construction work for a 100 MW grid-connected solar project in Gujarat that it won in a 500 MW PV auction by Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) recently.
As per the tender document, the successful bidder’s scope of work includes “acquisition and handover of land, design, engineering, supply and procurement, construction, erection, testing, commissioning and operation and maintenance of the solar plant, including evacuation infrastructure.”
The estimated cost of the work is INR 450 crore.
The total contract period is 2190 days, including a project completion period of 365 days (one year) from the award of contract and 1825 days (five years) of operation and maintenance from the commercial operation date.
