ABC Renewable Energy has announced the signing of the power purchase agreement (PPA) for 380 MW of solar-wind hybrid project with the Solar Corporation of India (SECI).
ABC Renewable emerged as the successful bidder in the 1,200 MW wind-solar hybrid auction conducted by the SECI under the third tranche on December 23, 2020. With this PPA, ABC Renewable has enhanced its RE portfolio to 1,080 MW comprising solar and solar-wind hybrid projects.
ABC Renewable is jointly owned by Canada-headquartered alternative asset management firm Brookfield and Axis Energy Ventures India. Brookfield is one of the world’s largest investors in renewable power, with approximately 21 GW of generating capacity. Its assets, located in North and South America, Europe, India and China, comprise a diverse technology base of hydro, wind, utility-scale solar, distributed generation, storage and other renewable technologies.
