Madhya Pradesh tenders 225 MW of solar under PM KUSUM

Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Limited has invited bids to implement approximately 225 MW of grid-connected solar systems under component A of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM KUSUM) scheme.

The plants shall come up at various locations in Madhya Pradesh and connect to identified 33/11 kV substations for the sale of solar power to Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company Limited (MPPMCL).

The project size per substation is 500 kW to 2 MW. 

MPPMCL shall sign a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) at a tariff discovered through competitive bidding followed by reverse auction. 

The maximum feed-in tariff (FIT) payable to the developer is fixed at INR 3.07/kWh (US$0.041/kWh) for the PPA duration of 25 years.

The bidders are allowed to participate under two categories, self-development mode and developer mode.

The scope of work includes design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing and commissioning, including the construction of bay and related switchgear at sub-station, along with comprehensive operation and maintenance of the solar plants for 25 years.
