SECI seeks land for agriculture feeder-level solar power plants

The Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) has invited Expression of Interest from landowners in Uttar Pradesh to lease or sell their required land for setting up of solar power plant(s) for solarization of agri-feeders in the state. As per the SECI requirement, the applicants shall be empanelled to provide their land to solar power developers on a lease or sale basis. 

The solar developer shall set up the proposed solar project on the land identified, leased or purchased by him. The preference shall be given to land banks/parcel based on the cost of purchase/lease, distance to discom substation, etc. There should not be any government restriction in setting up the solar power project in the land bank/parcel.

The applicant landowners must offer a minimum 4 acres of contiguous land in a single location. In case it is leased, the lease agreement shall be signed with the applicant for 30 years. The applicant can submit their bid/application for multiple locations, provided the land is of a minimum 4-acre area at each location.
