Shirdi Sai Electricals Limited (SSEL), a Telangana based power distribution transformer manufacturer and installer, has received the Letter of Award (LoA) from Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA) to develop a 4 GW vertically integrated solar module facility.
The company had placed an INR 1,875 crore incentive bid to set up a fully integrated 4 GW polysilicon-to-module fab under the government’s INR4500-crore production-linked incentives scheme that is designed to support gigawatt-scale manufacturing of high-efficiency solar modules.
SSEL is one of the prominent players in the distribution transformer manufacturing industry. It has emerged as an EPC contractor in the segment over the years. The company’s major clients include state power distribution utilities across Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, etc
