State-owned hydropower producer SJVN has selected Noida-based Solarworld Energy Solutions for the engineering, procurement and construction work of a 75 MW solar power project in the Indian State of Uttar Pradesh. The contract agreement for the project development at Parasan Solar Park in Kalpi tehsil of the Jalaun District was recently signed between the two companies.
As per the agreement, Solarworld Energy Solutions shall also provide three years of operation and maintenance support to the project.
SJVN had won the PV project by quoting an INR 2.68/kWh ((US$0.037/kWh)) tariff in an auction by Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA).
UPNEDA will procure the power generated from the project for 25 years.
