Airtouch Solar appoints Nimish Jain as India CEO

Airtouch Solar Ltd, an Israeli robotic cleaning specialist for the solar industry, today announced it has appointed Nimish Jain as the chief executive officer (CEO) of its arm Air Touch India Private Limited. In this role, Nimish Jain will manage the business operations and P&L (profit and loss) responsibility of Air Touch India.

An MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow, Nimish brings to Airtouch Solar around 13 years of work experience in renewable energy in new market development, operations, strategy, and business development functions. He has an exemplary knowledge of establishing multinational companies in India and expanding business operations of Indian companies in over 20 countries across five continents. 

“As Airtouch Solar seeks to further expand its business in India, we have started to operate our modern, state-of-the-art manufacturing unit in Noida, with a capacity of many hundreds of robots per month. Airtouch products are very well accepted by the leading solar PV developers in India and the company has already closed big orders. I am confident Nimish has the background and business acumen that will enable Airtouch Solar to achieve great success,” said Nick Lanir Brown, CEO, Airtouch Solar Ltd.

Before joining Airtouch, Nimish worked with Spanish asset management and project development company Solarig Global as managing director for India Subcontinent. Before that, he worked as Head of Global Sales for Vikram Solar, a solar manufacturer and EPC contractor. Nimish was JinkoSolar’s first employee in India to establish the company’s presence in India and southeast Asia. He has also worked with German inverter and energy storage player SMA, and with Reliance Industries Limited in the renewable energy division.
