Gujarat tenders 300 MW of ‘capex mode’ residential rooftop solar

Madhya Gujarat Vij Company Ltd seeks to empanel firms for installation of an aggregate 300 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar plants for residential consumers in rural area of Gujarat. The plants are to be set up in various sizes as follows:

The selected installer’s scope of work includes design, supply, erection, testing and commissioning, including five years of comprehensive operation and maintenance of the grid-connected rooftop solar plants, under CAPEX model.

“The modules and cells should be manufactured in India and should comply with the prevailing Approved List of Models and Manufacturers of Solar Photovoltaic Modules (Requirement for Compulsory Registration) Order 2019 – Implementation. Rest of the components can be procured from any source,” as per the tender document.

To be eligible, the bidder should have designed, supplied, installed and commissioned a cumulative grid-connected solar capacity of minimum 250 kWp in the residential sector prior to the submission of bids.

The average turnover of the interested bidder for last three financial years shall be INR 150 lakh. Also the bidder must have positive net worth in all last three financial years.
