State-run power producer NTPC Ltd has invited domestic bids to develop a 10 MW/40 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) project at NTPC Ramagundam power station in Telangana on a turnkey basis.
The successful bidder’s scope of work includes design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning of the grid-connected battery energy storage system (BESS) with 10 MW and 40 MWh rated AC discharge capacity at a 33KV switchgear interconnection point. It shall also provide comprehensive operation and maintenance support for the BESS system throughout the service lifetime of the project.
Bidders can quote a BESS system with a service life anywhere between 10 years to 15 years based on their offered BESS technology.
