Roofsol Energy, a Mumbai-based onsite solar power provider, is installing a 5 MWp solar project for Punjab-based ST Cottex India—one of the largest yarn manufacturing companies in the country.

The plant is being installed at ST Cottex’ factory in Ludhiana under the OPEX model by Radiance Solar investment arm of PE Fund (Everstone Group ).

The project uses JA Solar’s 460 Wp modules and Sungrow inverters of 100 kW. It is expected to generate approx. 6.7 million units of electricity in the first year.

Roofsol Energy ranked among India’s top three EPC contractors in solar rooftop and other onsite solar installations in a 2021 annual report by JMK Research. It has been providing solar solutions for dairy farms to tea gardens.
