Gujarat State Electricity Corp. Ltd. (GSECL) has opened bidding for 59 MW (AC) of grid-connected solar capacity around Gujarat Energy Transmission Corp. Ltd.’s substations in Gujarat. It said 45 MW will be installed in Bhavnagar district and 14 MW in Morbi.
The prospective contractor will handle design, engineering, supply, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning. The winner will also provide five years of operation and maintenance services. The project completion period is 12 months from the date the contract is awarded.
The tender document says that the prospective contractor should only use crystalline-silicon PV modules. The modules must be sourced from manufacturers on the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM), which is published by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.
