Bengaluru-headquartered Rajesh Exports Ltd has signed a program agreement with the Government of India to produce advanced-chemistry cells under the INR 18,100-crore production-linked incentive scheme.
Rajesh Exports Ltd is the world’s largest gold refiner. It is one of the three companies selected after thorough scrutiny for the PLI scheme. The other two winners are Reliance Industries and Ola Electric.
“Rajesh Exports will set up the world’s finest 5 GWh lithium-ion cell manufacturing plant with the finest and the most futuristic technology,” the company stated.
Rajesh Exports processes about 35% of gold produced in the world. It claims to be the only company with a presence across the value chain of gold, from mining to its own retail brand.
