Roofsol Energy, a Mumbai-based rooftop solar EPC player, has commissioned a 5 MWp rooftop PV plant at the Ludhiana plant of Punjab-based textile manufacturer ST Cottex. The installation uses 10,700 high-efficiency JA Solar 465 Wp Mono Perc modules and 39 Sungrow inverters of 100 kW.
The plant has been installed under the RESCO model, the developer being Radiance Renewables (a Green Growth Equity Fund company).
The plant is expected to generate 6.7 million units of electricity in the first year and replace 7,000 tons of greenhouse gases annually.
Roofsol Energy Pvt Ltd has pan India presence. The company has now decided to set up its EPC business in selected overseas countries in the Middle East, Central Asia, and Southeast Asia. The aim is to start local JVs and establish its presence in at least eight countries in the next 24 months.
