Gensol Engineering Ltd., an Ahmedabad-based solar EPC and advisory services provider, secured 55.8 MWp of solar capacity at seven sites in August. The company acquired the projects in the states of Jammu and Kashmir, Gujarat, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, and Telangana. The total value of the projects is around INR 153 crore ($19.1 million).
“Out of these seven deals closed by Gensol, five are based on full turn-key EPC model, while two are balance-of-system (BoS) projects,” said the company. “Similarly, while four projects are to be erected over land, the other three will be raised over the rooftops of the clients’ factories.”
Gensol Engineering, which was incorporated in 2012, provides technical due diligence, detailed engineering, quality control, construction supervision, and other consulting services for solar projects in many countries, including India. Its EPC business manages turnkey engineering, construction, and procurement contracts, internationally, with a team of more than 200 engineers. It has set up more than 350 MW of solar power plants thus far.
