Hitesh Tungal, the former regional director of China’s Wuxi Lead, has joined Suzhou GaoRun New Energy Technology as the vice president of its global business, effective from Sept. 1.

Tungal will be responsible for expanding the company’s global footprint in his new role. He will be based at GaoRun’s headquarters in Suzhou, in China’s Jiangsu province. Tungal has more 14 years of experience in the solar industry.

GaoRun has specialized in solar module manufacturing and automation since 2007. Xiang Rao, the chairman of GaoRun, said the company has supplied more than 12 GW of production lines outside of China. India is its biggest foreign market, with 18-plus lines supplied over the last two years. It has now decided to open offices in India and Turkey, along with a dedicated service team based out of India to provide services to its global customers.

Currently, the company works with Cliantech Solutions, its exclusive sales partner in India. It said it will continue the partnership for the Indian market, along with its other representatives in the international market.
