State-owned NLC India Ltd. (formerly Neyveli Lignite Corp.) has opened bids to set up 300 MW of grid-connected solar power projects in the Indian state of Rajasthan. The projects will come up at Barsingar in the Bikaner region.
The prospective contractor will be responsible for design, engineering, site development, manufacture, inspection at supplier’s works, supply, insurance, transport, storage, erection, testing and commissioning of the total capacity of the 300 MW solar power project and the evacuation system up to the delivery point. It will also provide operation and maintenance of the entire solar project up to the delivery point, at free of cost for the warranty period of 12 months from commercial operation declaration and on paid basis for three years after the warranty period.
The entire project capacity is scheduled for commercial operation declaration within 15 months from the award of contract.
