TotalEnergies ENEOS, a 50/50 joint venture between TotalEnergies and ENEOS, has announced the completion of a 1 MWp solar PV plant for Yanmar Engine Manufacturing India (YEMI), a leading Japanese engine manufacturer. The plant will power about 30% of Yanmar’s industrial engine production facility in India.
The plant uses more than 2,200 PV modules and is expected to generate around 1.5 GWh of renewable electricity annually, helping YEMI offset about 1,200 tons of CO2 emissions.
TotalEnergies ENEOS’s scope of work includes finance, installation, and operation of the PV solar system, while YEMI didn’t incur any upfront costs and pays only for the electricity generated.
TotalEnergies ENEOS Renewables Distributed Generation Asia develops onsite B2B solar distributed generation across Asia. It is headquartered in Singapore and plans to develop 2 GW of decentralized solar capacity over the next five years.
