Gensol Engineering Ltd, an Ahmedabad-based solar EPC and advisory services provider, today announced it has received purchase orders for over 247 MWp of solar power capacity across eleven states in February. The company will develop these projects in Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Kerela, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, and West Bengal.

The total value of these projects is INR 501.19 crore and takes Gensol’s total order book to over INR 1,025 crore.
Out of the eight deals closed by Gensol, seven are full turn-key EPC (67.35 MWp) and one (180 MWp) for the balance-of-system (BoS) package. Of the overall 247.35 MWp capacity, two projects are ground-mounted (182.3 MWp), one floating solar (44 MWp), and the other five rooftops (21.05 MWp).

“While one is the largest ground-mount capacity of 180 MWp in Gujarat taken up by Gensol for an India-based renewable energy platform, another is the largest single rooftop project of 10.56 MWp capacity that it will execute for a notable textile manufacturer in Madhya Pradesh,” stated Gensol.

The 44 MWp plant, Gensol’s largest floating solar project, would be installed over water bodies in the state of Jharkhand and West Bengal.

Other projects include a 2.3 MWp ground-mount plant for a metals major in the state of Kerala, and two rooftop PV plants of 1 MWp each for an auto ancillary manufacturer’s plants in Gujarat and Jharkhand.

Gensol’s scope of work includes design, engineering, supply, construction, testing, and commissioning of these projects along with comprehensive operation and maintenance services after successfully commissioning the plant.
