CIL Navikarniya Urja Limited (CNUL), a wholly owned subsidiary of state-owned coal miner Coal India Ltd, has invited bids to build a 20 MW (AC) grid-connected solar PV project for captive consumption by Bharat Coking Coal Ltd (BCCL), another subsidiary of Coal India Ltd. The project will come up at BCCL’s Dugdha Washery area in the Dhanbad district of Jharkhand.
CNUL has been appointed as the project management consultant for developing the 20 MW project through the engagement of an EPC contractor.
The EPC contractor’s scope of work includes installation, testing, and commissioning of the 20 MW (AC)/28 MWp (DC) solar plant along with transmission line/cable from the plant take-off point to the interconnecting substations and bays at substations. It will also provide operation and maintenance support for the plant and the associated transmission system for five years.
The total contract period is 2,190 days.
