NTPC Renewable Energy, a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy, has signed an agreement with Greenko ZeroC to supply 1.3 GW of round-the-clock renewable power for Greenko’s upcoming green ammonia plant at Kakinada in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.
Greenko ZeroC is the green molecule production arm of the Greenko Group. Its Kakinada project is a multi-phase green ammonia production and export facility adding up to 1 mtpa of green ammonia production capacity by 2027.
The term sheet agreement between the two companies [NTPC Renewable Energy and Greenko ZeroC] is one of the world’s single largest contracts for the supply of round-the-clock renewable power for an industrial client, stated NTPC.
