Waaree Renewable Technologies announced today that it has been awarded a 6.5 MW DC (5 MW AC) solar power project for the energy arm of India’s leading steel and power conglomerate. It will execute engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) work for the project and will also provide operation and maintenance (O&M) support for five years from the date of commissioning.
The project will come upon a 23-acre plot in the Indian state of Chhattisgarh. The power generated by the project will be evacuated at the 33 kV level and injected into the existing 33 kV Switchyard.
Waaree Renewable Technologies, a solar EPC subsidiary of Waaree Group, also finances, constructs, owns, and operates solar projects. It provides clean energy to its clients by setting up both on-site solar projects (rooftop and ground-mounted) and off-site solar farms.
