Chennai-based Hild Electric has signed a deal to supply and deploy 600 MW of alkaline electrolyzers to NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd–the renewable energy arm of NTPC, India’s largest power utility with
73 GW installed generation capacity.

The company said under this partnership, it will deploy cutting-edge alkaline electrolyzers on a large scale for green hydrogen production.

Hild Electric will deploy its alkaline electrolyzer solutions across a diverse range of industrial applications including ammonia, transportation, and power. The company said it will deploy stacks combined with purifiers and separators to provide a dynamic and energy-efficient solution that can integrate with renewable energy sources to produce green hydrogen. These are expected to support NTPC’s green hydrogen ambition of reaching at least 150 ktpa of green hydrogen production by 2032

Hild Electric, based in Chennai, designs a diverse range of power solutions from EV charging systems to energy storage solutions and electrolyzers. It is currently building a state-of-the-art integrated facility for EV charging, energy storage systems, and electrolyzer technology.
