Airtouch Solar, an Israeli specialist in water-free robotic cleaning solutions, announced that it had signed contracts totaling $8.5 million with ReNew, a NASDAQ-listed renewable energy developer in India. This is Airtouch’s fifth and largest deal to date with ReNew.
Under the agreement, Airtouch will supply and install its advanced water-free robotic cleaner Airtouch AT 4.0 for panels in ReNew solar projects. This part of the contract is worth around $2.5 million. Airtouch will also provide 25-year operation and maintenance support for its cleaning robots, which is expected to generate additional revenue of $5.9 million for the company.
Airtouch expects the robot installation to complete by June end in 2024.
The latest agreement follows Airtouch’s $3.2 million deal with Amplus Solar in July. As part of the agreements with Amplus, Airtouch will receive around $0.9 million for the sale and installation of its robots and a cumulative amount of $2.3 million for providing operation and maintenance services for 25 years.
Cleaning robot installation for Amplus solar fields in India is expected to complete by the end of December this year.
Airtouch manufactures and sells its products and services in Israel and India. It is also eyeing the US and MENA markets. As of Dec. 31, 2022, Airtouch had contracted cleaning robot orders for a total PV capacity of over 4.4 GW. Out of this, it has already completed installation for over 2.8 GW of projects.
