Gensol Engineering Ltd said today it has won two turnkey solar engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects aggregating to a capacity of 14.08 MWp in Dubai. It secured the projects for the Dubai Government Workshop Warehouse and Dubai Police. These projects have a cumulative order value of INR 101.6 crore ($12.3 million).
“With these order wins, Gensol will gain access to a large market full of dynamism, vibrancy, and an untapped potential for renewable energy solutions that deliver positive impacts on both Indian and UAE markets,” stated the company.
Gensol’s scope of work in the two turnkey contracts entails design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing, commissioning, and operation and maintenance of the plants.
The Dubai Government Workshop Warehouse project is set for commissioning in November 2023, while the Dubai Police project is scheduled to go online in June 2024.
Founded in 2012, Gensol Engineering has installed ground-mounted and rooftop solar power plants with a combined capacity of over 590 MW. It has also established a cutting-edge electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing facility in Pune, India, to develop and produce electric three-wheelers and four-wheelers.
