Eden had won a 300 MW solar PV capacity in SECI’s 2 GW auction by offering a price of INR 2.60 ($0.032)/kWh. As per the tender document, Eden will develop the project, connected to the interstate transmission system (ISTS), on a build-own-operate basis. The project can be located anywhere in India. The power procured by SECI has been provisioned to be sold to the different buying entities in India.
Incorporated in 2016 as a joint venture between Total Eren (Now TotalEnergies) and EDF Renewables, Eden Renewables India is an Indian renewable energy developer aiming for long-term investments in renewable energy (solar PV and wind-solar hybrid projects). Both promoters of Eden Renewables, Total Eren (Now TotalEnergies) and EDF Renewables (part of the French government-owned EDF Group) have been present in India since 2013. Eden Renewables India has been developing, engineering, financing, constructing, and operating over 2.3 GWp of Solar PV assets in India.
