Goldi Solar, a solar panel manufacturer and EPC contractor, has signed an agreement with Engie India, an arm of France-based Engie Group, to supply 190 MW of modules for Engie India’s upcoming Sayla village project in the Surendranagar district of Gujarat. The project benefits from a 25-year solar power purchase agreement with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUNVL).
As a part of the agreement, Goldi Solar will provide HELOC PRO series of 545 Wp PV modules to Engie India.
Goldi Solar, founded in 2011, is headquartered in Surat, Gujarat. It has two facilities at Pipodara and Navsari in Gujarat with a cumulative manufacturing capacity of 4 GW.
Engie Group has a global renewable energy portfolio of around 42 GW and has committed to increasing this to 80 GW by 2030. It is one of the largest foreign investors in India’s solar power sector. ENGIE India, incorporated in 2014, continues to expand its footprint in India.
