Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd (TPREL) has signed a power delivery agreement (PDA) with Force Motors and Jaya Hind Industries, part of Dr. Abhay Firodia Group, to supply solar power from a 13.2 MW AC PV plant to be developed in collaboration with these companies.
“Under the agreement, TPREL will supply power for 25 years. Force Motors, a fully vertically integrated automobile company, will be utilising 6.2 MW AC power and consuming 13.64 million units (MUs) power annually. While the other group company, Jaya Hind Industries will be utilising 7.0 MW AC power, consuming 15.40 MUs annually,” stated Tata Power.
The solar plant will be located in Achegaon, Maharashtra, and is scheduled for completion within 12 months from the signing of the PDA.
TPREL will oversee the development, management, and maintenance of the group captive solar plant facility. With this addition, TPREL’s total renewables capacity has reached 8,327 MW, comprising 4,107 MW in different phases of development and 4,220 MW operational (3,201 MW solar and 1,019 MW wind).
