Mukesh Ambani, chairman and managing director of Reliance Group, said their 5,000-acre Dhirubhai Ambani Green Energy Giga Complex in the Jamnagar district of Gujarat will be ready for commissioning in the second half of 2024.

Reliance’ Dhirubhai Ambani Green Energy Giga Complex will house giga factories for vertically integrated PV module manufacturing, advanced energy storage batteries, electrolyzers for the production of green hydrogen, fuel cells for converting hydrogen into motive and stationary power, and power electronics.

Ambani said Reliance will play a major role in making Gujarat a global leader in green growth. “We will help Gujarat’s target to meet half of its energy needs through renewable energy by the year 2030,” he said.

Gautam Adani, founder and chairman of Adani Group, committed a further investment of over INR 2 lakh crore in the next five years in Gujarat, thereby creating over one lakh direct and indirect jobs.

At the previous summit, Adani Group had announced an investment of INR 55,000 crore in Gujarat by 2025. Adani said, they have already surpassed INR 50,000 crore of investment across various sectors in the state.

Adani is creating an integrated renewable energy ecosystem in Gujarat, including solar panels, wind turbines, hydro electrolyzers, green ammonia, and PVC.
