Greenzo Energy India Ltd (GEIL) recently unveiled its indigenously designed alkaline electrolyzer for green hydrogen production, at the industrial hub of Sanand GIDC, Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
The alkaline electrolyzer leverages electrolysis to produce hydrogen gas by efficiently splitting water (H2O) into hydrogen and oxygen. ‘What sets this electrolyzer apart is its utilization of alkaline technology—known for its reliability, simplicity, and cost-effectiveness—an innovation crafted in-house by Greenzo Energy,” stated Greenzo Energy.
Greenzo Energy’s alkaline electrolyzer, designed as a modular unit, will be available in capacities ranging from 0.5 MW to 5 MW, ensuring scalability to meet varying energy demands. This adaptability allows the system to cater to diverse applications, from industrial processes to powering entire communities.
The electrolyzer seamlessly integrates with solar and wind energy sources, promoting a circular and sustainable energy ecosystem. GEPL plans to establish a state-of-the-art unit in Sanand GIDC, Ahmedabad, with a capacity of 250 MW per year.
