Hero Future Energies (HFE), part of the Hero Group, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Uttar Pradesh government for investing INR 4,000 crore (around $481 million) into developing clean energy projects in the state.
Under the MoU, HFE will set up renewable energy projects, battery energy storage systems, facilities for the manufacture of green hydrogen and its derivatives etc.
The MoU was signed on the sidelines of World Economic Forum meetings at Davos, Switzerland.
HFE currently has 3 GW of grid-connected wind, solar, and rooftop solar power generating assets operating in India and Europe and another 2 GW of projects in the pipeline across India, Vietnam, Bangladesh, and the UK.
