Harish Valecha, vice president-sales & marketing, Cosmic PV Power, told pv magazine that Cosmic PV Power is ramping up its solar module manufacturing capacity to 1.2 GW from 850 MW at present. The company’s existing 850 MW facility in Surat, Gujarat, manufactures mono PERC and polycrystalline modules both. It will discontinue 250 MW of polycrystalline capacity and add 600 MW of new lines that will be equipped for TOPCon production. It has bought Wuxi Lead stringer and Gaorun laminator from Cliantech Solutions, which will take care of supply, installation and service for the machinery.
The new line will be equipped for 16-busbar TOPCon and M10/M12 mono PERC module production. It will start production by May.
Valecha shared that they are looking to tap the international market also, particularly USA, Middle East and African countries.
At Intersolar India 2024, Cosmic PV Power exhibited its COS TWIN series of multi-busbar mono PERC modules with outputs ranging from 500 Wp to 650 Wp and efficiency up to 21.4%.
